$175.00

Dimensions: 2.25 x 6 x 4.75
Media: low fire glaze on hand sculpted ceramic
Artist Statement : In many ways, the octopus is like the ocean. An octopus can change and adapt to its surroundings; the ocean itself is constantly changing. An octopus is known for its fluid movement through water, emulating the flow of the waves of the sea. Finally, much like the still unexplored depths of our oceans, we still are learning much about the depths of octopus intelligence. Like our oceans, its octopus inhabitants should be revered.

Dimensions: 8 x 6 x 8
Media: resin and glass
Artist Statement : I believe that art reveals the perspective of the artist, not just what the eye can see. As Paul Klee states "Art does not reproduce the visible, rather it makes visible." The impact of light passing through a prism creates a compelling image.

$575.00

Dimensions: 4 x 6
Media: archival watercolor pigments on 300 lb. Arches watercolor paper
Artist Statement : My work centers on spaces from my imagination that reflect reality but don't represent it, much like a dream. While the scale of my watercolors, and therefore interaction with them, is small and personal, my approach to painting both small and large works is similar. Surface tension, brushstroke, and layers of color are equally important no matter the size of the work. I want you to participate when you look at my art - enter my work and place yourself in the space. While my early paintings were primarily figurative, for the most part figures have disappeared from my watercolors. However, a sense of the figure's presence remains - you are that presence.

The Experience of The Cloud
The Experience of The Cloud
Murray Taylor
$4,550.00

Dimensions: 44 x 44 x 2
Media: Oil on Canvas
Artist Statement : I've been exploring clouds for a while now, this work specifically focusses on the the edges where the cloud meets no cloud. Beyond being a universal motif that speaks to all of us (people have always looked up to the sky in wonder/prayer/meditation), now our climate crisis could affect what we see when we look up. When climate scientists run computer models to predict the impact of climate change, they are uncertain about the impact warming temperatures will have on clouds. Low scattered clouds, the type in these paintings, reflect 30% of the radiation coming from the sun, and have a cooling effect on the planet. High thin clouds allow the radiation in and then keep heat from escaping back into space. If the models that show more low scattered clouds are correct the warming will happen more slowly, hopefully giving us more time to come up with real solutions. The other scenario speeds up the warming and results in most days being gray.

Karen M. Terry
$200.00

Dimensions: 4 x 10
Media: Sumi Ink Wash on Watercolor Paper
Artist Statement : Karen Terry finds inspiration in the change of seasons and simple natural images, which she records as landscapes of the physical and inner realms. As we, ourselves, are natural systems and embody nature, Terry paints what she takes in of the natural world; what she holds, becomes or embodies - and releases. The sumi ink painting techniques that she uses enable her to work with form and energy to create low light images of a given environment. Terry’s images tap into visual and sensory memory and a universality that extends beyond her own experience. Terry’s exploration of space and form, of ambiance and energy, captures a glimpse into the unseen - of spirit. Fae Path_Walking on Earth speaks to the Earth element - the magic and lightness of dancing on the skin of the mother, of forest bathing, of moving through nature with one's feet on this sacred ground.

$400.00

Dimensions: 16 x 20 x 1
Media: mixed media - photography & digital art
Artist Statement : On a recent flight on a beautiful day, I looked out the window and noticed the pattern of these beautiful, small, pristine, staccato-like clouds as far as the eye could see. We usually look at the sky from ground level, but this view of the air that surrounds us from a vantage point above was breathtaking and thought-provoking. It is sobering that human existence and industry pollutes our air, our atmosphere, a resource all our lives depend upon. We need to be constantly reminded of the beauty and importance of Earth's air, in order to zealously protect and preserve it. I make my art to capture moments of beauty, energy, or emotion that stand out as worthy of remembering, so they aren’t lost in time. I describe my genre as mixed media photography-based digital art. My digital photos are the starting point. My process includes using photo editing and digital art technology to modify and transform the photograph to achieve my vision and goal for the finished piece.
